IF THERE WERE NO EDUCATION

What would have happened to all the nations,
If there were no formal education?
The world would have no computers,
And nobody dreaming of becoming tutors.
We would have no doctors to cure the disease,
Also, no engineers to do the tasks with such an ease.
The world would have no way for communication,
How can you even imagine a life without education?
There would have been no PC or mobile,
Also, efforts to teach kids manners would be futile.
The world would be filled with crime,
Also, nobody would value time.
The world would have no way for transportation,
Again, how can you live without education?
The world would have no idea of the universe,
Also, every task would seem like a curse.
The world would have no justice and no laws,
Also, no achievements would be worth applause.
There would have been no machines at all,
Also, no edifice or monument to enthrall.
There would have been no Math to calculate,
Oh! What a fate!
Now, I realize that if there were no education,
We would have been struggling in all situations!

HOLI!

The Colourful Festival of HOLI!

Finally, the exams are over and the colourful festival, with a great history has arrived. Sweet-meats, water guns, colourful faces, children throwing water balloons on people and winters departing will be enjoyed. Holi is one of the favourite festivals of all because of the fun people have. The streets will be filled with colours and will be wet. But, this year, let us do something different. Have you not got bored by doing the same thing over and over again. This year, let us not waste the precious liquid- water. Better save now, than regret later. All of us think that Holi comes once a year and only my efforts will not contribute in saving water. But, as tiny drops of water make up the mighty ocean, similarly, each person’s efforts will be  notable in saving water and also Holi may come every year, but  the water that gets wasted may not come again. So, save water and enjoy Holi by doing your bid in preserving your environment. Be a responsible citizen.

E-learning

E-Learning
From buying grocery to booking tickets, everything, these days is done online. Internet has provided a great deal of facilities and opportunities for the people. But, this can also prove to be useful for the students to keep abreast with the rapidly developing world. Teaching through digital technology in the digital age is the best way to arouse interest in students as all of us have a tendency to love watching and doing stuff rather than simply reading. Cramming answers never helps and only makes them dull. Learning the same lessons by watching videos not only fascinates us but also makes us curious. These lessons are then never forgotten. Children will also find them much more interesting than books. So, if all the lessons from all the subjects are taught in the digital way, children can benefit immensely. Also, for a subject like computers, activities from outside the syllabus will help children learn something unique. As we are aware that technology has advanced a lot, if our kids don’t master computers, they will never be able to keep pace with the international students. Learning by reading is not as effective as learning by doing is. This has also been proved in a study.

So, why not adapt a method of learning that students love and will also benefit from. After all, the whole idea of education was to equip students with skills and knowledge they can use in future. Education should be teaching the students in the best way so that they don’t learn only for exams but also for life and for fun. Students should never forget the concepts, they have learnt and use them in life. All this will help the children learn in an interactive way. I believe in just one line:- When learning becomes fun, fun becomes learning!

A poem on Science

I   LOVE   YOU   SCIENCE
When I close my eyes and go to sleep,
I think all about Science, quite deep.
I can see the invisible microbes moving around,
And hear the below 20 Hz frequency sound.
I can see the sun, the moon and the stars,
And also the CO2 gas coming out of the cars.
I can see a satellite flying in the orbit,
And also the current flowing in the circuit.
I can see the crops getting ready for the harvest,
And also a man cutting down the last forest.
I can see a chemical reaction between an acid and a base,
And also myself smiling in the space.
I can see the seven colours of the white light,
And also the fungi causing the potato blight.
I can see the light travelling so fast,
Also the universe getting even more vast.
I can feel the earthquake jolting my bed,
And also the yeast fermenting my bread.
I can see the electrical impulses in my brain
And also the blood carried by my vein.
I can see my Earth going in the black hole,
And also the electrons going on a stroll.
I couldn’t think about a place where there wasn’t Science,

Science is in me and in every appliance.

Exams- A burden?

Exams- A burden?
Exams! This word for some, may sound horrible and scary. As the final exams are approaching, the common sight, these days would be anxious and stressed students with dark circles under their eyes due to the sleepless nights. But, the idea of education wasn’t to bring stress to the children’s lives. It was rather to  test their dedication and skills and what they have learnt in the entire year. But, these days, children only run before marks. They just want to score and get the rank and for that, they can even cheat. Studies have also shown, that the ones who depend on others for cheating, develop less confidence in their future years. Don’t chase marks. These exams are just tests and not the final competition of life. People such as Einstein and Edison were never toppers but they changed the   face of the modern science. So, chase excellence and knowledge, the rest will follow.
So, give your best in these exams by the right methods and keep on learning as this is the most beautiful thing in this world.

Winners don’t do different things, they do things differently.

                       TEACHERS - OUR MENTOR

We spend about 15 years of our life in schools! And that's about one-fourth of our life. And for the proper usage of this time,we need a mentor.Neither our parents nor anyone else can give the proper mentorship, but a TEACHER can. They have the ability to prepare the future generation of a country. They can teach us those important lessons of life that are never forgotten throughout the journey of  mysterious life.Teachers enlighten our lives and not only turn us into kind but also a responsible citizen. But they are very selfish! Do you know why? Because they work hard for their students so that tomorrow they can say that this is my smart student and I'm his/her proud teacher. But, do we really respect them or just write long essays about my favourite teacher and so on.....

In earlier times, children used to go the gurukuls for the lessons from their gurus.but, nowadays, teachers themselves walk into our classes and teach us standing for hours. And we comfortably sit and wait for another one to come and go again.....This isn't learning! Then there is no use of coming to school daily by leaving your cosy beds.
If you can learn to respect a teacher then you respect the knowlegde within the world......
All successful people today do have one thing in common - They all admire their teachers!
